Identification
Unlike most Wingatui dragons, Brook spends very little time around people. His metallic green scales shimmer like wet moss in dappled sunlight, making him almost impossible to spot beside the streams and fern-covered gullies of Whare Flat. He is most often glimpsed as a brief flash of emerald before disappearing into the undergrowth with astonishing speed.
Behavior
Entirely self-contained and perfectly content with his own company, Brook prefers the cool streams, mossy rocks and quiet forests of Whare Flat to the bustle of roads, gardens and humans. On the rare occasions he ventures onto the Taieri Plains, however, he simply can't resist collecting interesting treasures. If it sparkles, glitters or catches the light, Brook considers it worthy of careful investigation—and possibly permanent adoption.
Favorite Hiding Places
Among moss-covered boulders beside forest streams, beneath overhanging ferns, and anywhere the sound of running water drowns out approaching footsteps.
Known Misdemeanors
Linked to a surprising number of missing earrings, necklaces, keys and other shiny objects. If you've watched a favourite necklace fall onto your driveway only to discover it has mysteriously vanished before you could retrieve it... there's a fair chance it has found its way to a carefully hidden collection somewhere beside a Whare Flat stream.
Things to Avoid
Setting anything shiny down "just for a second." If you happen to catch a glimpse of a metallic green tail disappearing into the ferns, it's probably best to let him keep whatever he's found. Brook has excellent taste, an excellent memory... and absolutely no intention of giving any of it back.
